As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our center's success by leading initiatives in sales and customer service, center operations, team development/hiring, and coaching. Collaborating closely with your Manager, you will focus on becoming a subject matter expert in all four components to drive excellence and innovation in our centers.

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Manager, you will have multifaceted responsibilities encompassing sales and customer service, center operations, team development/hiring, and coaching. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our center and delivering a world-class experience to our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Customer Service:
    • Follow up on leads and schedule trials, ensuring high conversion rates.
    • Coordinate and manage events such as camps, parties, Parents' Night Out (PNO), etc., including staffing, scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks.
    • Engage with the community to build partnerships and generate leads, leveraging social media and external events.
    • Execute effective communication with members to ensure they receive exceptional experiences and support.
  • Center Operations:
    • Conduct audits of ZenPlanner and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure data accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
    • Manage member accounts in ZenPlanner, including handling drops, declines, billing, and scheduling changes.
    • Conduct monthly facility walks to assess needs and address any maintenance or operational issues.
    • Oversee inventory management, including conducting regular counts and replenishing supplies as needed.
    • Coordinate the charging and distribution of rank jerseys to members.
  • Team Development/Hiring:
    • Participate in the hiring process for new team members, including conducting interviews and providing input on hiring decisions.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and lead practical training sessions.
    • Assist with program rollout initiatives and collaborate on team meeting content.
    • Shadow quarterly evaluations and provide support to ensure coaching team members meet performance expectations.
    • Monitor completion of LearnUpon courses and report on weekly progress.
  • Coaching:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert in programming, coaching approximately 15 hours per week.
    • Provide feedback and guidance to the coaching team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality programs.
    • Share programming wins and opportunities with the KidStrong Coaching Channel to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in the fitness, recreation, or child development industry.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and provide excellent customer service.
  • Proficiency in using software systems such as ZenPlanner and Hubspot is preferred.
  • Passion for working with children and families and dedication to promoting their well-being and development.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and Holidays as needed.
