A self-motivated, high-energy, detail-oriented individual whose passion for kids, paired with a growth mindset and the desire to learn and develop as a leader, drives them daily in efforts to make a positive impact. 
 
Someone with a solid understanding of sales and operational excellence who, supported by an Assistant GM and our lead generation/marketing campaigns, will drive the center’s membership growth while engaging in customer relations with parents to retain existing members.
 
 A leader with a positive attitude ready to utilize a thoughtful approach to all aspects of the organization while taking great satisfaction in meeting and beating goals, with a “Win the Day” philosophy. Someone with experience with kids who leads from the front, gets on the mat, and teaches 3-5 classes per week.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE…

1.       Grow The Business, effectively following up on marketing leads, exceeding sales targets and meeting operational budgets.
2.       Lead From The Front by teaching at least 4 KidStrong classes weekly with contagious enthusiasm and leading by example by personally modeling all center activities, starting with superior customer service.
3.       Manage Team/Develop People: Help recruit, hire, and train new coaches and ensure all center processes and programming are followed and executed properly.
4.       Operate The Center, Systems, and Processes, ensuring that all front desk systems are followed, such as proper member check-in, phone inquiries (general and sales-related), guest registration, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, customer care calls, and change requests.
5.       Communicate Effectively with customers, staff, KidStrong management, and corporate teams.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR….
 
REQUIRED
 
  • 3-4+ years of combined management/customer service/sales experience, including overseeing all aspects of location/site management. Experience with children and/or the fitness industry is strongly preferred.
  • An ambitious, growth mindset is a MUST; open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence.
  • Be promotionally oriented and schedule class trials through company-required vetting. Phone stamina is critical for the first 6 months, as leading our pre-opening sales requires making an average of 20 hours of calls per week (~300-400 phone calls per week)
  • Understand all performance metrics of revenue, inventory, payroll, cost controls, and facility maintenance.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor, with the ability to multitask, manage client and staff concerns, and be a self-starter who gets the job done.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, striving for error-free communication.

  • Practical work experience using Microsoft Office Products.
  • This is NOT a 9-5 job - must be able to work a flexible schedule, including one weekend day, with specific hours depending on the center's needs.
  • Ability to run productive individual and team meetings
PREFERRED
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, education, health, fitness or related field 
  • Sales success in a membership-based business 
  • Experience using HubSpot and/or Slack software 
CERTIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Certifications Required (these can be obtained post-hire and must be kept current):
  • CRP certified 
  • First Aid certified
  • Epi Pen certified
Physical Demands: 
·         Our staff is asked to work out with the kids, know the proper form and corrections, and actively run the activities. These activities involve bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, balancing, etc.

As a general manager, you are our key employee, a member of our management team critical to our short-term and long-term success. Therefore, we are committed to acknowledging your immediate day-to-day efforts while rewarding your behavior as a PART-OWNER of our business in achieving longer-term business results, as follows:
  • Base Salary Plus  Monthly-Paid Bonus: combined up to $75,000 annual
  • Monthly-Paid Bonus: Up to 50% of your salary
  • Profit Sharing that, over time, could exceed your salary/bonus (paid quarterly) 
  • PLUS, a substantial payout if/when the company is eventually sold
Monthly Bonuses
When it comes to your bonus, we like to keep it simple, using one metric for success. With team support, it's easy to earn Tier 1 bonuses and more each month with easily attainable sales targets. Our 3-tier bonus structure works like this:

  • Tier 1: (This should be a no-brainer.) Achieving this tier will earn you an additional $1042 monthly or $12,500 yearly on top of your base salary.
  • Tier 2: Achieving this tier will earn you an additional $1563 monthly or $18,750 yearly on top of your base salary.
  • Tier 3: Achieving this tier will earn you an additional $2083 monthly or $25,000 yearly on top of your base salary.
