KidStrong Seasonal Day Camp Coach

THE ROLE & SCHEDULE
- We are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in day camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 9
- KidStrong Camp Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical and character development that stems from a designed camp curriculum
- Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp
- Camps typically run when school is out, from 8:30am - 3:00pm.
- Camp coaches would work 3-5 camp days in the week.
- Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours & KidStrong Class coaching - will require additional training.
COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
- Camp sizes of up to 20 children, ages ranging from 4 - 9.
- Must be able to ensure camp both start and end on schedule and follow appropriate pace of
curriculum - Greet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to camp
- Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational and professional demeanor when leading camp
- Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
- Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times
- Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes
taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at
the end of a shift - Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents
attendance, awards, etc.) - Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including
periodic checks of messages when not in centers - Complete trainings through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
- Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in
a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 25 pounds in weight. - Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student
safety. - Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Head Coach and Director
- Supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring the well-being of all
children
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
- Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
- CPR certified
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter who just gets a job done

Salary Range: $100/day
Compensation: $100.00 per day
KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong offers a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals.
